Good location

The Hyatt is comfortable but could use a refresh. Breakfast is decent, rooms are clean, and beds comfortable, good location. Paying extra for a higher floor with an Empire State view was nice for the quiet, but the view itself is just okay — you can see it from the 26th floor for free. Staff were polite. A highlight was enjoying a reasonably priced bottle of wine on the 26th-floor terrace — a calmer, cheaper alternative to rooftop bars with the Empire State right in front of you.

Overall a good stay. My only two “complaints” was the noise from the street - which they obviously know about as foam earplugs are provided in the room, and the breakfast, which was pretty basic and unremarkable. Outside of that, the facility, location, staff, etc were quite good and above average. I’d stay here again, for sure.

The only thing I’m not a fan of is when the building has scaffolding in front of it, but I know it’s unavoidable. The breakfast was OK. The pancakes were kind of crispy on the end, but I think they were really hard on the eggs were OK your usual what you find in a hotel bagels were OK. The room was clean but small. There was an ottoman in front of the couch who made no sense cause it’s just limited your ability to get to the bed.
