I used to LOVE the EAST…NOT ANYMORE! For a 5 star property the experience was underwhelming, so say it lightly. The keys to the room keep demagnetizing (whether they are close to your phone, or the opposite side of your body….During my stay I I had to go down to the front desk multiple times a day to get a new card to get into my room….very inconvenient and time consuming. Also the lights in my room kept going off (on their own) at the most inopportune times like when I was in the shower or doing my make up etc… I called the front desk to fix it but then gave up, the goal of my vacation is not to fix glitches or trouble shoot issues for the hotel I’m staying at, especially when it’s a 5-star property…

Wow, we couldn't have chosen a better hotel than East to stay at. We had credit for our lunch at the hotel, at the pool, we had a free drink, and at a hotel by the beach the hotel partners with, we had an umbrella and beach chairs right by the water! We were treated to everything the hotel had to offer. There is a cafe/bar on the first floor, they have quinto, a restaurant, and a pool on the same floor, and the rooftop has a fun bar named Sugar. We sat and were amazed by the views and vibes at this bar. Views from the room were amazing and the cleaning service paid attention to details. The location was also safe and right next to the mall. 10/10 would stay here again.

Normally my stay is great, but this time my party had multiple negative encounters with the staff. Bartender at the pool was rude, and a security guard accused us of not being guest. Not sure why we were asked at the pool if we were a guest when you have to use a key card to everywhere at the hotel. Also they did not honor our daily credit.
