The hotel room was clean . Ingrid was the front desk receptionist who checked me in and was very friendly and provided us all the information we needed. Alma the housekeeping who was assigned to our room left our room clean . Definitely recommend this hotel . It’s close to the airport and quick and easy to drop off your rental and be on time for your flight .

The hotel staff was very amazing we showed up earlier than the check in time and they stored our luggage so we could explore LA until our room was ready. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable we slept great. Also it was very close to lax and the hotel offers a shuttle to the airport which was a huge plus. Will definitely stay there again when in LA.

It took us to the wrong Sonesta!!! Apparently there are two; we did not know that when we booked. Nor did they ask as we got onto the shuttle. I sent a message prior to arrival asking about the shuttle that nobody responded to. Very confusing and waste of time having to go back and forth between the two hotels.

The Expedia listing for this site is not reliable. Using my Expedia reservation after a 24 hour flight the hotel number listing gave me the phone number for the shuttle. They explained the look of the shuttle white with the name on the side and that’s the one we took to find at 10 PM that the site I was at was not where my reservation was. Furthermore, the hotel was unable to pick us up and suggested we go back to the airport and wait for another shuttle and then be delivered to their site which was even further from the airport. I contacted the hotel who told me cancellation and refund was up to Expedia. I contacted Expedia who told me it was the Hotel‘s policy and they refused to refund me. I ended up apparently losing the money on that reservation as I went ahead and booked a room where I was at. After 24 hours of travel, we were looking for a few hours. Sleep before we were back on an airplane at 8 am. Needless to say I’m extremely disappointed with Expedia. Again, all contacts were through my Expedia reservation so I feel the information was misleading and intentional. The hotel I ended up staying at by the same name says it happens frequently. Apparently travelers are being duped and that’s how I feel.

The room smelled liked mold or old water. I initially thought that it was a shower curtain considering that it was a cloth one. I had house keeping change it, but the room still smelled of mildew.

I liked that it was clean. I did not like that they tested the fire alarm but didnt warn customers until AFTER alarms sounded that it was a test? Husband was showering kids (which u cant hear the alarms in bathroom apparently) and my son fell getting out the shower because of the alarms wet and half naked on our way to go into the halls when they annonced it was a test literally a minute or two after the alarms were going off. By all means test the alarms but warn people BEFORE not after. My kids could have gotten seriously hurt over a 'test'.

If you are coming from the airport you will need to call the hotel to arrange the shuttle pick-up. None of the non-phone call options work, so if you have an international number you will be unable to contact them to get the shuttle
