Have stayed at this Hyatt before. Nice hotel and good location
Lots to do in walking distance. Good idea to add the breakfast. It is actually very good.
I recently stayed at the Hyatt Place in Pasadena with my 2-year-old daughter over the weekend. While the hotel had some positive aspects, there were several issues that affected our overall experience.
What I Liked:
- Spacious room with impressive floor-to-ceiling windows offering a nice view
- Location was convenient for our specific needs
What Needed Improvement:
- Maintenance issues were evident throughout the room:
- The balcony door was extremely difficult to open and close
- Carpet was coming up at the corners by the windows
- The bathroom had two doors (one from the bedroom, one from the main area) but only one had a lock, which was concerning for privacy
- Odd room design with mismatched furniture and an inefficient layout that wasted considerable space
- Safety concerns with the television mounted on a thin, unstable stand that posed a hazard for my toddler
- Cleanliness was below expectations - the room needed a more thorough cleaning
- Bed comfort was mediocre at best
- Service was adequate but not memorable
Would I Return?
While the location worked for this particular trip, the maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, and safety hazards with the unstable TV stand would make me hesitant to stay here again, especially when traveling with a young child. For the Hyatt brand, I expected better attention to detail and upkeep of the facilities.
If you're considering this property, I'd recommend not traveling with little ones as there were many safety concerns.
The room was very basic for the price-barely any bathroom amenities, no complementary water, no bathrobes. Just a basic room. The bed mattress seemed out of date.

Beautiful, elegant, clean and amazing accomodating staff!
Average hotel, nothing special, young and inexperienced but nice staff, hotel parking for 30$ pretty outrageous (this is not a luxury hotel), rooms ok, clean. Too pricy for what it is.
We came down from San Jose for a concert locally, we wanted somewhere nice and quiet with great beds which we received! Service was great people were offering to help at any moment. What was really kind of unsatisfactory, around midnight we went downstairs and purchased some food from the freezers over $100, came upstairs to find out there's no microwave? It was a refrigerator behind the closed doors which is fine. Seems like every room we've ever had always has a small microwave, it was just odd that it didn't have one. So we couldn't eat the food. We didn't feel like going back down or calling about a microwave.
Amazing stay! We had a concert near by to attend. The location is perfect for food and nightlife. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be staying again.
