Beautiful hotel in THE best location with king beds, clean well appointed rooms, friendly and efficient staff, 1/2 block from the Embarkment tube station. View of the Thames is unbelievable.

My vacation was almost ruined because the room was soooooo cold (we called it fridge), wondering if it is normal in UK for hotels to keep their guest rooms cold to save money? That would be pathetic. To make it worse, nobody was even trying to help after i brought it up to the front desk. Be aware, their frontdesk does not like to pick up phone calls! I had to go down to talk to them. So one word to summarize my entire stay: COLD, COLD room and COLD staff. Have to give one star, maybe for the location, but this subway station does not have lift, not with one star, but i don’t have a zero star choice any way! P.S. if you read reviews in December 2025, other people also complained about room temperature. Wondering if they have really bad AC system that keeps breaking? Or they do not fix the broken one, instead they give it to the next customers?

Room was clean and tidy. For a 5star hotel I found it disappointing Staff didnt inform us how to order breakfast or order in the restuarant as we didnt book breakfast as part of the package. Room had all the standard amenities. Tea and coffee kept in a drawer in the room. Disappointed that the mini fridge only had one of each item . For the price of the room and service , we could have stayed at Premier Inn.

Good location for central London attractions. Hotel clean and of high standard condition. The Standard double room was expensive for what you get. Nothing special and a terrible view from the room (you have to pay a premium for any kind of view). Breakfast was excellent. Check in was average, staff not welcoming and did take a long time to check in with a lot of paperwork etc. they also expected a passport (which I didn’t have/wasn’t told about) and seemed annoyed that I didn’t have one.

I was disappointed before I even arrived by incredibly slow responses from the contact email - I wanted to know if I could have early check in; and getting a response takes nearly 24hrs. Don't bother contacting them via Expedia - they won't reply. The email I send detailing the reason for our stay didn't end up being forwarded to the front desk until after we'd checked in. Room was fine - clean and comfortable. Front desk were indifferent. The only good thing about the hotel is the lovely man on the door - Perves. He was the only helpful member of staff I dealt with (the concierge at bag check was nice too). Sadly we won't be returning!
