From the moment we got to the property, we were treated by each staff with exceptional customer service. The hotel is in a wonderful and quiet area with a quick walk to the South Kensington tube. The room lacked drawer space but made up for it with a comfortable bed and bedding. They should warn about the use of American made hair dryers though. Despite having a converter plug, my hair dryer essentially was fried upon my first use. When in need of an iron/ironing board upon check in, the front desk staff sent someone up immediately with these items that we were able to use for the week. Thank you! A shout out to those who went over and above: Dining room: Levente, Adele (pm dining room manager, and Fernanda, and ALL concierges who gave amazing recommendations for dinners and helped with reservations. The Sky Garden was a hit. When making a special request of a grab and go breakfast for one of the morning's of our stay (we had an early bus tour and would miss the breakfast), Adele worked with us to arrange for a "to go" breakfast. Upon arrival at the front desk at 6:30 am, it was all set to travel (complete with hot tea, coffee, and pastries to go). The breakfast package was well worth the price with bountiful fruit, a pastry basket, and entree, along with juices and tea/coffee. Thank you, thank you, thank you for offering this exceptional property and stay. It was my first trip to London (not my husband's), and certainly not our last. We would HIGHLY recommend your property.

The hotel offers a perfect stay in every respect but especially in the outstanding service that each and every employee offers a guest. regular rooms are not up to standard

The actual hotel lobby, lounge and restaurant are very good. Staff was supportive and friendly. However we stayed in a queen bedroom and it was subpar. The bathroom lighting is super dark, so you can't even see in the mirror to fix yourself to go out. The chromecast on the tv did not function well. It kept locking up. For a 5 star hotel, I would expect a better experience in the room.

It’s a lovely hotel in an elegant part of town. There were a few glitches on check in (room wasn’t ready at 3:00, check in time, and then a first floor was given after upper floor was requested), but thereafter everything was pleasantly smooth.

The Kensington is a quaint boutique hotel that I know I’ll want to return to! The restaurant, lounge, and tea areas are beautifully and tastefully decorated, offering a perfect balance of luxury and comfort while honoring the building’s historic charm in the most elegant way. It all feels lush and refined. The staff is outstanding—warm, courteous, and always ready to help. The doormen, in particular, add a special touch with their friendliness and thoughtful conversation while you wait for your ride. And the location? Possibly my favorite part. As a first-time visitor to London, I wanted to be close to the main attractions—but not too close. This hotel delivered exactly that. Tucked away in a quiet, upscale neighborhood, it felt like a peaceful retreat far from the hustle and bustle, yet I could easily walk to most major sights. A true hidden gem that feels like another world. All in all, it was a fabulous stay. I can’t wait to come back!

We were extremely pleased with our stay at the Kensington. The room was great, the service was excellent. Can’t say enough good things about it. The location was also a positive. We wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else if we go back to London.
