Accidentally left my phone and a large sum of cash in an unmarked envelope at the pool late one evening. Went up to check in the morning and they were nowhere to be found! Asked at reception and the staff had found and handed in earlier that morning. Very honest staff - most appreciated.

It was nice to have the complementary shuttle with a familiar and trusted hotel as a female, solo traveler arriving late to the airport. Breakfast included multi ethnic cuisine that was amazing. The atmosphere was gorgeous and staff were knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming.

Excellent except for a couple of details.

The complimentary airport shuttle is really good. We used it from Domestic to the hotel and from the hotel to International. Both worked well. We had previously been staying at the Holiday Inn Sanur before a side trip to Java and we left two bags at the HI Express Baruna for a few days, which was very convenient. The room was done in a way reminiscent of a swimming pool but was comfortable. The rooftop swimming pool itself was somewhat cold and the food we had there had cooled down by the time we got it. Overall, the hotel was excellent value for money.
