My brother and I stayed at Ibis Resort in Key West from Aug 6th–8th… or at least we tried to. When we arrived, the place looked cute and colorful. The man at the front desk was friendly, and we even bought some merch while checking in. Our first room had a nice view of the bay, and I took a few pictures before sitting on the bed to relax. Within minutes, I started feeling bites in my hair. I looked behind me, saw dozens of tiny fire ants crawling on the wall. When I moved my pillows, there were ants in the bed as well! I had welts forming on my head and arm, my brother had a few bites too. We had been in the room less than two hours. We went to the front desk, explained the situation, and were moved to a room in a different building. Unfortunately, the first thing we saw when we walked in was a live adult bed bug crawling on the sheets. We immediately left. At the desk again, we were told the general manager (Gina) would have to approve a full refund, but she wouldn’t be in until the next morning. We left, assuming she would understand that no one should be expected to stay in rooms with biting insects. Instead, she was unsympathetic and said because we “used” the room for two hours, they couldn’t rent it to someone else — as if they should rent it to anyone without addressing the infestation! Expedia gave us a partial refund, but I believe we are entitled to a full one. This was unacceptable — ants, bed bugs, bites, and no real concern from management.

This resort was wonderful! We loved the room, the location and the view. Room was very cute. Only issues we had were the parking was not very convenient per room, there wasn't a microwave or coffee pot in room. Minor inconveniences for such a wonderful place. Also, we were given a "Free Shark Feeding" ticket that had inaccurate times on it so we were unable to use it. They also give you a list of "things to do" around there which made it sound like they would help you set up trips. No, they are just suggestions which should be planned a few months prior, like the Tortugas boat trip. Other than that, this was a very nice stay and the cutomer service and cleaning ladies did an excellent job! Thank you for such a calm and memorable experience.

I like that it has a private beach, it is quiet, I like the room, the ambience, it was clean, comfortable bed and pillows; I liked the hammock outside the room; the restaurant is very nice, the food was delicious, the service very good, the feature of feeding the sharks. I had the chance to feed the sharks for free.

Clean vintage motor inn. Very small bathrooms, one person only. The pool needs a good scrubbing. Nice views from bay rooms. Rooms need coffee makers as no not have to wander across the parking lot to restaurant to get some. Overall clean and friendly with easy parking.

The staff was friendly, the rooms were cute. Our only real complaints were nobody told us we had to put a "clean our room" sign on our door to even get towels, etc. There really isn't a beach area, there is sand and water though. The hammocks were awesome and we loved them until people started walking around the building and into our area. Our upstairs neighbors herded elephants or something late into the night and started again at 5am every morning which isn't the hotels fault but just beware if you're a light sleeper. The complimentary breakfast is good, not the best and very basic. They should probably offer bacon or sausage or something. It was clean and cutesy.

room ok, bathroom needs remodeling asap the “beach” it’s a fake beach, just a few feet of sand and two beach chairs food at the restaurant horrible breakfast not good at all the worst part was the lady that cleans the room, no hello, no good morning when you see them walking around, totally rude. we said thank you to her when we were leaving and she didn’t even smile to us. she looked at me with and rolled her eyes 😲

We have stayed at this resort twice and every time it had been a great experience. This time we were assigned to room 502 The room is dirty, hair everywhere and the tiniest shower ever made was just filthy. I have never been compelled to shower with flip flops on at any hotel but I definitely did here. We have loved staying here in the past. The vibes were always great and the rooms were cute and clean. Not this trip.

Cute place to stay!

Room was cute and comfortable. We had a hard time parking my F150 truck. Parking lot is very small. Room is on beach to bay. My kids wouldn't get in water. It smelled and no one else was. Restaurant was very expensive and only had seafood options...plus a steak or chicken if lunch time. Continental breakfast was very good.
