James Bay beach accommodation

We only stayed for one night so we didn’t check out much of the property except for our room, but the space was lovely- very clean and nicely made up, the lobby and hallways are beautifully decorated, and all of the staff are so kind!

The room was clean, but very dated. The bathroom is small and the shower is weak. The staff are very knowledgeable and very unfriendly. The location is excellent, I imagine the view from the harbor side is nice. The management is terrible, they do not care about customer service at all, they will upcharge every chance they get. 30 a day for parking, 30 a day if you need a cot, no refunds or discounts if your room is not what you need or for early checkout.

Clean rooms and great staff. Hotel location is great. Walkable to everything downtown. Parking is safe and secure. Continental breakfast was delicious.

We had a wonderful stay with a stunning ocean view. Our king-size room was perfect—quiet, spacious, and very clean. The warm welcome and attentive service made a big difference; the staff consistently checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. The hotel restaurant was excellent as well—we enjoyed breakfast while overlooking the ocean. Overall, it was a truly memorable experience.

Clean room staff are friendly

Reserved a room with a kitchen, was told I had to pay extra to use it ($15 a day). Asked to be provided with two plates for take out, was greeted with a snark remark about not getting it myself. Asked to move rooms, was told I had to pay for that. Went to brekky around 940, there was no coffee - told to drink decafe. Brekky was not fresh, stale bread. Room key troubles, had to ask the same attendant twice to help and was met with snotty looks (get off your phone maybe?) Greeted staff at front counter, they literally either said nothing or gumbled a response. For the cost and experience being downtown Victoria, I would go anywhere else if I had to do this trip again.
