The rooms were clean. Receptionists were so friendly and respectful. The only problem was room service in the morning. They would try to enter to the room while we're sleeping which gave a sense of lack of privacy. They also don't understand english which was not easy to deal with. It would be better to have some sort of door knob sign to hang outside the room for when it's okay for them to enter or not.

Firstly what a lovely family business but This is a very dated property. Love the fact they are a family business and very proud of their hotel.. but it so needs updating in places.. you can still keep the traditional furniture just needs TLC..the hallway carpets needs cleaning badly, the photos promise so much but we was disappointed when we walked in our room.. it was clean but we had a glass of milk and the dirty glass was on the tray for 2 days, the bar was expensive and very quite .. the photo showed a outside area but it was only 1 table wide and closed off with glass doors.. the roof terrace where has breakfast served it’s very dated and you had to pay €3 for fried eggs/omelette or freshly squeezed orange juice.. a basic breakfast you helped yourself too..good fresh bread with jams cakes and boiled eggs or scrambled was in a warming trays came with B&B not fried ?? a few other selections of salads nothing impressive.. outside felt like we was in wholesalers District, but a quick walk uphill to the Main Street so ok but did feel on the edge of town..had a couple of cafes with local food cheap and delicious.. opposite hotel I should imagine in it’s hay day this hotel was very impressive.. the manager was so nice I wish him well and his hotel but I would not be staying again we did try to move but the cost of cancellation we decided to go out and have boats trips and spend more in Istanbul

Amazing! Most wonderful staff. Took an "off the beaten path" tour with the hotel manager, who is a licensed guide. Was the best place ever! Location excellent and entire hotel experience was superb!

Tremendously helpful and kind staff, gorgeous hotel- solo female traveler staying in Turkey for the first time, was so glad to have stayed here. Easily walkable to the city center and public transit. Amazing Ottoman era lounge welcomes you upon arrival with a Turkish tea and a small treat. The hotel is beautiful! Staff is friendly and give recommendations for your stay. Breakfast on the rooftop offers views of the city and water! You can spend time exploring the hotel just as much as the city. It’s located very near the train for ease of access to sites around the city. Highly recommend this hotel!

Not only is it clean and comfortable, but attention to detail is amazing, and there are so many charming details that really make it special.
