We stayed at the Pera Palace hotel for four nights in mid April 2025. The property is very grand, with an impressive and glamorous lobby, a cosy bar, copious quantities of marble and many chandeliers. The fascinating history of the hotel is worth exploring. Our rooms were comfortable and decently sized, one of them had a balcony glimpse of the Bosphorus plus a spotless marble shower room. Bed linen and towels were beautiful. The door staff were friendly but the narrow pavement right in front of the hotel meant that they should have been paying more attention to people’s safety. The location was good for getting to local attractions, a few minutes walk to Istiklal Street with many lovely restaurants and plenty of shops. Our peace was somewhat disturbed by a number of weddings which took place during our stay but the staff were at pains to try and minimise our discomfort. We spoke with multiple people on the front desk, all of whom were exceptionally polite and helpful. We were in fact compensated for the noise disturbance and the general manager, Mr Eti went out of his way to ensure this happened.

It was nostalgic and beautiful, since the building is historical it gives the feeling of old times stories and memories, special the serve old man, he was in the perfect classic butler, which makes get the feeling of how being in a palace.

First time to Istanbul

What started out a little rocky at check-in turned into an amazing short stay. My room was not ready upon arrival, so I was treated to Easter Tea while I waited. Staff was very attentive and sweet. After my room was ready, I again received a special lift ride in one of the first of its kind to Europe. The rooms are beautifully appointed. The hotel is a work of art itself. I had a spa appointment, also, that was phenomenal. The Türk Hamami and massage were out of this world, especially after more than 24 hours of travel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Pera Palace in Istanbul, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The hotel perfectly blends old-world charm with modern luxury. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the elegant architecture and the sense of history in every corner. The room was comfortable, tastefully decorated, and offered a great view of the city. The staff were attentive, professional, and always ready to help. The location is also ideal, right in the heart of Beyoğlu, close to shops, restaurants, and historical sites.
