Good place in the old quarter that has everything they you need within walking distance. Lovely staff. I was able to drop off my laundry at the front desk and they for it for me too.

The room was very nice and clean, new fresh hotel, prefect location. Probably the best staff ever. They did everything to make you happy and keep you satisfied-- very nice and friendly staff, all of them! The breakfast was great - you can basically get anything you want (you can choose your favourite breakfast from the menu and in addition you can enjoy the breakfast buffé). Next time I go to Hanoi I will most definitely stay at this hotel. Shampo, conditioner, shower gel, thoothbrush and paste, etc (and even a razor) in the bathroom. No need to bring with you any of these!

This hotel has clean and pleasant rooms with new and modern bathroom. The price is very reasonable. The service is excellent and the personnel is friendly, helpful and they do their best to ensure a pleasant stay. The Hotel travel desk arranges trips to Halong Bay and Sapa in a professional and honest manner. We are very enthusiastic and recommend this hotel.

Suli the reception was super helpful and cheerful. She helped me book a bicycle tour and gave suggestions on where to find stuff and so on. The young man on night shift was also helpful. Thank you! We also loved the good quality beds and pillows. Got some much needed quality sleep.

I've written a review, but it seems to have got lost... so here goes again. We were very impressed with the staff of Royal Palace Hotel. Jimmi, the manager was excellent to deal with in the booking stages and also extremely helpful and interested in our welfare when we arrived. In fact, we found all the staff were friendly and professional, and eager to go the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. My husband needed medication in the middle of the night, having had eye surgery not long before we left, and a staff member took him out seeking to find a 24 hour Pharmacy. This is but one example of the 'over and above' service.

Stayed with my family at the Royal palace Hotel in the Old Quarter. It was our first time in Vietnam and Jimmi (the Manager) and all the staff couldn't do enough for us. They put us in two connecting rooms which had great decor and the best beds (pillow top-extremely comfortable sleep) we've experienced in Vietnam. Suly and Angela(Reception) speak extremely good english and provided advice about everything good & bad. Booked flights with Jimmi to Danang and then on to Nha Trang (better prices than I could get) and booked a great Cruise on Halong Bay with the Hotel. Breakfast was great - they cook (fresh) anything you want from the menu. Highly recommend staying at the Royal Palace Hotel - Very reasonably priced and well located so you don't get excessive traffic noise which is a major plus in busy little Hanoi.

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel. What a great hotel, firstly the room was lovely and clean and the bed....well that was so comfy just like being home. Staff were also very friendly and went out of their way to please. The breakfast was fantastic with so many choices. Situated in a quiet street not far from the bustle of the city and not far from the Hoan Kiem Lake and Hao Lo Prison. Would certainly stay here again just felt like a home away from home.

The lobby members are exceptional since most of them are familiar faces from the last time we were here. Room was clean as usual, and the house keeping lady was also very nice. While we spent only one night there, we came back to another hotel later so we had a good comparison for Old Quarter small hotels. As the hotel is in a small side street, the combination between central location, but less hussle and noise right outside is excellent. The service they provided was very good and proactive including excellent restaurant recommendations. As we had to leave early the next morning they had already arranged a breakfast doggy bag for us as well as pick up. I would definitely stay there again.
