Have to say, this really surprised me, never look at anything less than 4 star. But this was for location to the cruise port for 1 night so took the chance, firstly we were there early so took cases around 11.30 am hoping they would have some where we could leave them, was told no problem your room is ready go straight up. Great spacious room with everything we needed. Clean tidy but best of all, a balcony overlooking last ramblas. 24 hour reception and very decent breakfast. Would definitely book this again if going to Barcelona and would definitely recommend if wanting a base to explore last ramblas/gothic quarter etc, metro only 3 minutes walk away restaurants on the doorstep, 5 minutes to cruise terminal.

Beautiful, modern hotel with easy access to all of the city attractions. Staff was outstanding.

Location and rooms

A great location right in front of the cathedral. It’s quiet as the windows are well insulated.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in May and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The location is perfect, just away from the touristy bit but right in the middle of the old town, near the cathedral and 10metres from Jaume metro station. There are lots of nice shops and restaurants nearby and only a short walk to La Rambla and the beach. The reception staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel very clean and tidy and our room was ideal for our stay. We had the €14 breakfast a couple of times and it was really nice and good value. We highly recommend this hotel, the only negatives were there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and no bar that we saw. There was some heavy construction work outside the entrance during our visit but when completed there will be a really pedestrian square outside.

The staff is awesome. Anna in particular was very knowledgeable and kind as she provided different tourist opportunities. She also provided different ideas for transportation with the benefit and approximate price for each suggestion. Thank you Anna!
