This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. Staff were great and very helpful. The only thing was the breakfast buffet which did not have much selection but they made it up by giving you a menu to order form.

The room is small but that is expected in Europe. The pool was much smaller than the photos show and had already filled up. We had a long flight from Virginia arriving in the morning around 9 am. We requested early check-in which they did provide. However, it was still a long wait and the lobby is tiny. Overall though the staff is very friendly and kind. The room is very comfortable and clean.

Deluxe Room was large with an atrium view. Atrium is very small and as we were on the lowest floor it was very dark all the time with no natural daylight coming into the room. Really good location for a tourist base, but we did see piles of stolen purses by the bins so be vigilant. Breakfast OK although the omelettes were still raw in the middle – perhaps that’s how they cook them in Barcelona but I was not a fan. Nice juices, teas and coffees. Loved the Terassa del Gotic for drinks and snacks. Club sandwich was our favourite. Pool was warm. Complimentary prosecco, lemonade and water in the lobby. Good hairdryer, and Rituals toiletries in the bathroom. I don’t like coffee so didn’t use the Nespresso coffee machine but they were happy for us to take teabags from the breakfast restaurant if we had wanted.

Wonderful stay at this old property with modern amenities. Great location at the edge of the Gothic Quarter and near both El Born and a not too long walk to Barceloneta Beach. Great view of the Cathedral from the rooftop.

We only had one night here after a cruise. The hotel is beautiful and centrally located for lots of easy walking to beautiful sights nearby. Rooftop is A+. Our room was ready for a very early checkin as expected, but when we arrived back after lunch our rooms were already in our room and we were offered a glass of cava. We will be back and will stay here!
