My room had a gorgeous view of the basilica, the amenities were lovely, and the staff was helpful, friendly, and very welcoming. The rooftop bar was a great way to spend our last night there before an early morning flight back home. I look forward to returning to this hotel in the future.

We enjoyed our 4 day stay and recommend the Lamaro Hotel. The location of the Lamaro is excellent, located immediately across from the Barcelona Cathedral and adjacent to the Gothic Quarter. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The only reason for 4 stars vs. 5 stars is that our room #111 was odd shaped with dated furniture, and the warm food at the breakfast buffet was uninspiring and didn't change from day to day. We did enjoy the rest of the buffet overall. We plan to visit again in the future, but will call ahead next time to have clarity on what room will be assigned to us.

Hotel is in a great location across from the cathedral and the public areas are nice, however there is no way on planet earth this is a 5 star hotel. Our room more closely resembled a Holiday Inn with fluorescent flickering lighting above the bed. Potential customers should be advised there is no automobile access to this hotel, the only option is to drag your bags across the square a significant distance, or come via a taxi through a restricted road. There seem to be dozens of five star hotels in Barcelona, this is not one of them.

The hotel common areas were nice and the location was great. Unfortunately my room was below my expectations and I had difficulty sleeping due to noise from other rooms (literally every noise from above) and cigarette smells coming in from outside or neighbouring room.

We recently spent a full week at this hotel, and our experience was exceptional from start to finish. The staff—from the concierge to the doormen—were consistently personable, friendly, and professional. We would especially like to thank Eva and Raquel, who went above and beyond in assisting us with our questions about Barcelona. Their recommendations and warm demeanor made a meaningful difference in our stay. The location of the hotel could not have been better. Situated right on the piazza facing the Barcelona Cathedral, it offered both convenience and a beautiful atmosphere steps from the city’s most iconic landmarks. Breakfast each morning was phenomenal. The selection was extensive and delicious, with a great variety to choose from. The wait staff were attentive and accommodating, and the dining room was beautiful and overlooked the Piazza. Our room far surpassed our expectations. We were assigned a room with a double terrace furnished with loungers, a table, and chairs—an ideal place to relax and enjoy the views of the city, the hills surrounding Barcelona as well as the cathedral Overall, we had an outstanding experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona. We can’t wait to return!

We asked upon arrival to be placed away from construction going on in building next door. Our room was 30 ft from the construction. We have several videos of jack hammers on thru the list of tools drowning out us talking, until, some days, 7pm.

The hotel is very nice with excellent service. Unfortunately if you want to sleep this is not the place to stay. They play loud music across from the hotel in front of the Cathedral. It some nights went until midnight. You can hear it from the rooms. Only negative but it is a big one.
