The hotel was beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was very clean and well taken care of. The neighborhood was perfect for exploring Barcelona (walkable to most sights and so many amazing restaurants nearby) and going to the beach, the only thing to be aware of is the area is quite loud at night (the hotel provides ear plugs).

Great location, very comfortable and clean hotel

I had a great stay at Hotel Colonial Barcelona. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I really appreciated the complimentary bottled water both in the room and in the lobby. The front desk staff went above and beyond—when I had a continuing reservation, they kindly helped move my luggage between rooms. The location is perfect, walking distance to the Gothic Quarter and El Born. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.
