Riverside is a beautiful hotel, in a very convenient location. My only issue was our room, 636, overlooked a back parking lot and there was an outdoor wedding taking place. The music was so loud with the bass reverberating through the windows of our room, and we could not sleep. I called down at 9:30pm, and they said to wait until 11pm…as the noise had to be shut down at that time. We had a long day of travel and were exhausted, I could not fall asleep through the vibrations. I went down to the front desk and they apologized, but the property was sold out and there was no where they move us to. They did take some money off our room, and were very apologetic about our circumstances.
Also, without a wedding, I would still avoid #636, as it’s right beside the elevator and being an old hotel; each time the elevator was called it would ding and we could hear the mechanism of the elevator going up and down, was a very awful sleep for us.
I would stay there again, as the convenience and location of the property was fantastic, I would just request a room in the tower of the hotel.
