Disappointing room size

We were disappointed as hotel was recommended by friends. Had booked over 6 months prior and was put in a tiny room for 5 nights! We didnt complain at the time but they shouldve offered that there were larger rooms at the same rate. Also there were not enough outlets for charging in the room and none by the bed! We complained at the end and the manager apologized and gave a partial refund. But still, this wasn't what we had expected for a very expensive rate booked far in advance. It impacted our visit to Edinburgh.

I loved staying here! Staff was excellent, room was perfect, and had a lovely view of the courtyard. I was surprised by how quiet it was at night. There is a lovely sitting area and bar for guests on the second floor, as well as downstairs if your looking for a quiet place to read or work.

This is such a lovely property with so many amenities to make at a comfortable and easy place to stay while in Edinburgh and to retreat to after a day out. Highly recommend this property and cannot wait to return.

this is a great wee hotel (actually not wee, they have 40 rooms) in a very convenient-for-tourists location. the proximity to The Meadows and its expansive walking possibilities is a plus.
