Clean and spacious. Located on the Royal Mile so very easy for sightseeing. Many restaurants nearby. Room included refrigerator and kitchenette. Only drawback was spacious bathroom had ZERO counter space for essentials (toothbrush, hairbrush etc). Great stay!

The hotel is ideally located near the train station, yet very quiet. All of our day tours were a short walk away. There are many fantastic restaurants within a few blocks, as well as cute shops. Our room had a nice little kitchenette. The walk-in shower was convenient. The employees were very friendly, with great advice. We love that it was "green" in that you need to insert your key in a slot to get lights and they turn off shortly after it's removed.

Friendly staff. The hotel within a period building has so much character. Smooth check in and the gym is nicer than I imagined. The only downside is that my room is facing the court yard and we were woken up at 7am by the creeking noise of the metal garden furnitures. The opening time should be revised for both staff and guests.

The location is fantastic—on the quieter end of the Royal Mile, with everything within walking distance and great food and drink options nearby. Communication before arrival was excellent, and we had high expectations. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t stay again due to cleanliness issues. The floors were dirty enough to turn white socks grey within minutes, and despite raising it twice and being told they’d be mopped, they weren’t. We were given slippers, which helped, but the issue remained unresolved.

The absolute ONLY thing about this property that was good was it being on the Royal Mile. That’s it! No daily housekeeping, you have to ask for it. When asked for extra towels they gave me a side stare and were apprehensive. Breakfast NOT worth the cost. No shampoos. Only body wash and shampoo in one. Have to constantly ask for things rather than being supplied if they had daily housekeeping. We stayed for 10-days. No way coming back here!! Plenty of better hotels on the Mile.

The hotel was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. Friendly helpful staff We had to do laundry so perfect timing for us with a laundry room available!!

Very modern & clean. Also quiet. Bed very comfortable. Kitchen was convenient. Great location; walking distance to train station, Holyrood Castle & Edinburgh Castle. Easy bus ride to HMY Britannia. A few minor problems: no egg flipper in kitchen, no can opener, and no notice that heated towel racks out of order in whole building (had to ask at front desk after having tried unsuccessfully for some time to get it to work). I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had a decent 7-night stay — the hotel was quiet and conveniently located near many main attractions. However, when we attempted to use the laundry room, we were met with a strong sewage odor, which made it impossible to do our laundry. Unfortunately, the only response from the front desk appeared to be spraying air freshener, without addressing the underlying issue.
