Wasn’t able to check in even purchased insurance and told me it’s not their problem then I cannot get a refund. Do not book through Expedia and do not book this hotel. They kept running me back-and-forth between the two companies.

First the shuttle bus did not come. The room is not clean, there are ants on the bath towels and floor. The shower water is not hot. We have ordered a room with sofa bed and when we asked for pillows and blanket for the sofa bed side, they said they have no extra set to provide. Very disappointed experience.

Mix feelings but I like this place. First, the complementary shuttle services from and to the airport was goooooood. Even provided complementary services to the city mall and other places. Good on you, guys. Concierge service was equally magnificent. Although the room was a little small in size, it looked was great and spotless. Room furniture are strategically place to make room to move around. Staff very friendly and respectful. The warm gesture provided were remarkable. Amenities such gym, spa, pool were available but we never used them. The rooftop is magical just when the sun is setting down. The only down side for us was the food. Although, I was convenient to eat at the hotel, the meals were very one-way kind of buffet menu. Not much variety and chef were not quick with their refills. There were significant delays. Meat was a rare thing to have. Don't believe we ever eate beef. Lamp in stew/soup were rare to find. It was always chicken and somehow it finishes that quick. Then, the tray becomes empty for loooooong. In fact, for what Mercure is, I was expecting some good variety with foods, particularly the main meals. My experiences with the food (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) was not the best. I believe I would have enjoyed it better if I have stepped out for breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Aside this, I believe the hotel is a good place to stay.

Receptionist said hotel shuttle would take me to the airport … she forgot to say that shuttle wouldn’t go to terminal 2. Even though I had plenty of time to check in, by the time I got there by an additional uber trip, the flight was closed. This is not acceptable and she should not be working at a facility of this level.

The cleanliness of the room was an issue. There was a significant amount of mold on many areas of the shower walls. The hair conditioner dispenser was empty. There were many small flies near to the toilet. The carpets in the room were stained and filthy.

The shower had mold. I stayed for 5 days and the shower wasn’t cleaned. The shuttle service hours was not as advertised. No shuttle to Dubai Mall.

Bathroom had mold on the walls and bed had hair in it not from me. Instead of my room being changed, housekeeping was sent to scrub it, which made me cough all night due to the harsh chemicals they used. The iron in the Ron was broken and weak my pants I was trying to iron. I also lost power in th room due to broken iron. Overall worse experience

3.5 star hotel masquerading as a 5 star. Save your money and go elsewhere. Second stay in 2 years and it went down the drain, speaking of drain my shower in my first room smelled like piss. Like really really horribly. Got moved to another room with no piss smell but had multiple issues as the commonly used things by guests like shower, faucets, toilet seats were loose, both rooms need an intense deep clean. After complaining to front desk, they pulled a big brain move to send maintenance instead of housekeeping or move us to a new room. Manager Ahmed did nothing and just smiled and apologised. Next morning I complained to Expedia who within 5 minutes had another manager Hamza call me who was courteous and considerate and offered us a deluxe suite which thankfully had no problems. It was humorous as I kept finding issues but at one point I realized I should stop pointing things out. Loved this hotel 2 years ago but this stay ruined it, never coming back and will definitely recommend 100% to others .. To avoid this place!!! A few positive things about this place, close to DXB, metro and a few decent restaurants.

When I asked 1 housekeeper if she sees that, she said yes that's a door stopper. 😁
