Awful first trip to India

This hotel only cares about you until they get your money. After that, they could care less. I checked into my room, looked around in the drawers, thought it was a bit weird there was one wine glass and tea and coffee bags. Checked the fridge empty. No big deal. I booked a massage in the spa, and went to bed shortly after. The next morning I woke up with bumps all over both my arms. I initially thought it was bed bugs and asked for my room to be changed. No apology or any offer of discount or anything. I realized I shouldn’t expect the same level of service in another country, so went to my new room. This room had fully stocked mini bar, two wine glasses, chips, peanuts, the works. The initial room I had was obviously not prepared properly even though there was a note saying it was “prepared with care”. After my doctor said it wasn’t bed bugs, it was an allergic reaction to something, I said what did I do different? Oh right! The massage oil! I emailed the spa, and asked what the ingredients were so we can figure out what I’m allergic to...two weeks and still no response. I went though the website to email the hotel itself...still no response. Up until the got my money they were VERY responsive. Now, nothing. My first few days in a new country were ruined by this hotel. They only care about your money, and not customer service and hospitality.

Services and room cleanliness could be better

The bathroom can be better, cleaner, especially the towels, even though they were sprayed with heavy perfume on them, you can still smell unpleasant odors. Services at the event venue are also questionable. My company booked a room and ordered full-set caterings. The staff refused to serve coffee and tea during lunch, insisted that they are only allowed to service coffee and tea after 3pm (but the lunch service closes at 1pm).

Terrible staff,terrible service.

Hotel manager,staff and service terrible. Upon arrival staff at check in unfriendly,grumpy, unhelpful. Booked a business suite with a city view. Got a standard room with little sofa and view of the back of hotel wall. Staff and manager u helpful when approached to speak to them told us to contact our travel agent if we have a problem. Took over an hour trying to sort it out but the staff were very unhelpful and intimidating. Would not recommend this hotel now to anyone.

The property is in a great location around 10 mins walk from Connaught Place. It has very impressive communal areas and a great foyer. We had good service from the staff who arranged a city tour for us and also got us train tickets to Agra. The hotel construction and decor is not consistently to the standard you would expect of a 5 star hotel with a water leak in the corridor outside our room and also in the upstairs restaurant area. You pay a premium price for a driver if you book via the hotel (use Ola app instead).
