Worth The Stay.

Everything about this hotel was lovely. The room exquisite and beautifully appointed. Would definitely come back. Only disadvantage was a lack of nice restaurants close by, but we took a LYFT to Beach Deck and enjoyed our meal.

So dissapointing!

We have stayed here but over 10 yrs ago. No one told us the hotel was going through extensive repair from last years hurricane and age! This is anacceptable and we would have never stayed if we knew. There was a lot of outside construction going on and debri everywhere. The outdoor pools are not heated and were in the mid 70's. Unacceptable for floridians!

Property was in poor condition. There was a broken towel bar upon my arrival. The rooms could use major updating. The pictures online are completely misleading. We stayed on night and ended up with bed bugs. We called management to alert them to the issue and they said we must have gotten it somewhere else. They also said they wouldn’t check the room until the current guest checks out because they didn’t want to invade their privacy. The manager is extremely hostile when dealing with concerns.

I was not told ahead of time about only being able to have one vehicle per room. Normally I have bought a parking pass for $10. This time they didn’t allow any extra vehicles so I had to pay $40 altogether to park my vehicle at the ocean center which was a good distance away.

Advertised wrong. This property has been under construction. There are no tables out. Limited plastic chairs around close to buildings is only place to sit as everything is under construction. No shuffle board, no putting green, no grills and only one way down to the beach. I called as we were there the year before and they were under construction. I get a hurricane and we stayed as I grew up going there. I was told the construction was complete. It definitely was not. You can use the pools outside BUT parts of the pool area is closed and chair area was taped off. They were redoing all the grounds, walkways, etc. I get that it has to be done but don’t lie to people and get upset when we want to leave and want our money back. Also, both years our room was on 4th floor north building (best rooms and perfect floor for sights) and the elevator was down. Walking up luggage was bad. Down means down for a day or two. The tiki bar is so cool, small and bartender is great! Of course the spot on the beach is awesome, especially for families that want quiet. Just is not the same from years passed. Hopefully they get this place back up and running and beautiful again. It was such a treasured Gem back in the day! Oh! And the donuts are the best in town!!! Always a kid fav.

I love that access to the beach was easy. Restaurants and a grocery store was in walking distance. The vibe was very relaxing. We enjoyed our stay and will visit again.

I have never written a bad review on a hotel ever. Not once. The pictures are completely deceiving. Outside pools are dirty and my kids didn’t even want to swim in them. The entire property felt dirty and not maintained at all. Upon walking into our room, we were overwhelmed with what smelled like a dirty, old, used maybe vinegar type mixture that was used to “clean” our room. The floors didn’t look like they had even been vacuumed. Within minutes, the bottom of my kids feet were sticky and dirty (they had been clean and sitting in a clean car for 4 hours so no, they were not already dirty). We had to drench the room in body spray and it still smelled gross. I have never been to Daytona Beach and I understand a lot of the hotels are older but the least they could do is a decent job at cleaning the rooms. The only thing that saved our trip was the fact that we had friends staying at The Wyndham down the street and they were gracious enough to let us come to their pool/beach. If you’re partying and just need a place to do that, great. If you’re planning a family trip with kids, I would recommend spending a little extra money and staying at a Hilton or Wyndham.
