It's situated 85 kilometres east of Santo Domingo, the capital city of Dominican Republic.
Sitting 70 kilometres to the northeast, Macao Beach is a wonderful place to while away a day enjoying lovely ocean breezes. Bayahibe Beach also boasts some picturesque views. You'll discover this strip of coastline 25 kilometres to the northeast.
Mother Nature's splendour can be seen around Cumayasa. Just 6 kilometres away, Cave of Wonders is an excellent place to start. Catalina Island National Park sits 10 kilometres away and is another ideal spot for some downtime.
Make your way 25 kilometres west to Estadio Tetelo Vargas to see an exciting live game of baseball. Located in San Pedro de Macoris, this stadium is the home of the Estrellas Orientales, so kit yourself out in green, yellow and white and cheer your heart out!
If you travel 13 kilometres to the east from Cumayasa, you'll stumble upon La Romana. Some travellers like to use this destination as a base when going to Altos de Chavon Village and the Links.
