the grounds were beautifully landscaped, the beach area was clean with beautiful palm trees and lit up at night. The only drawback was it was an hour plus ride from the Punta Cana airport, but the seclusion made it worth the drive

Everything from check-in to check out was perfection. Most especially the entertainment staff and the gym. Over the top accommodating. They made us feel like family. Food was delicious, different food for everyone’s liking. Enough chairs by the pool. We were even given popsicles! on a tray, on a very hot day sitting by the pool! Over the top perfection in every department. Clean and well kept. Grounds were stunning. I felt very safe and secure, gated community.

The employees are very nice, attentive and responsive. The food was delicious & had a lot of variation. The beach and swimming pool have very good maintenance, they could clean the algae from the beach more often. The entertainment and drinks were good. The little village and church were beautiful.

FIVE STARS all the way! Just returned from a fantastic couples' getaway at Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville, and we’re already talking about going back! This adults-only resort checked all the boxes for everyone in our group. ✈️ Transportation We booked DAT for $89 per couple round trip. It was clean, friendly, and perfectly on time. When you arrive, you're dropped at the family side of the sister resort and then whisked by golf cart to the main lobby. A smooth start! 📲 Check-In & the App Highly recommend downloading the Bahia app. We used express check-in and were able to reserve restaurants 10 days in advance, which made everything so easy. You’ll receive multiple key cards (room, electricity, towel cards)—tip: ask for a second room key for your partner. 🍽️ Dining All of our restaurant experiences were excellent: Don Pablo Gourmet – beautifully presented, fresh gourmet dishes Takara – delicious Asian Fusion Il Capriccio – Italian comfort done right 🍹 Drinks & Entertainment Two lobby bars offered nightly fun—dance parties, karaoke, a live sax player—plenty of variety! We often ended our evenings with a walk to the sister resort's cozy casino for roulette or blackjack. 🏊 Pools & Beaches Pools open early and close at 6pm sharp. What I liked was the place kept surprising us with things to do. We played pool, ping pong, swam, paddle boarded, kayaked, participated in the party pool festivities, relaxed in the heated non party pool, shopped and enjoyed the entertainment each night. I love how they brought us and others to dance along. Everyone who worked there was so nice and helpful. The service at each restaurant was superb. I highly recommend.

The beach area is quite poor, not something you would expect in the Caribe. The pools areas were nice, but at 9 am almost 80% of the sun bed were taken while there were very few people there, the stuff should control that customer go to the pool place the towel in the sunbed and come back after a couple of hours.

I loved everything about this hotel. The staff are amazing and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful the food is great everything I've had to eat has been like a non stop party for my taste buds delicious. I hate that the hotel is far from the main city but I will still come back. The only thing that I would say that was a little disappointing is I arrived on my birthday but the hotel didn't recognize me on my special day. But spoke to other guest who the hotel did acknowledge by putting a Happy Birthday sash on there door with a bottle of wine in there room along with chocolates. It would have been nice to see this type of welcoming when I walked in my room on my birthday. But other than that I love this hotel had a great experience!

GOOD I like that it is 2 different resorts both behind a gated entrance. You can use either property at any time as a guest with your wrist ban. Everything is included which is fabulous and tipping is not a concern. Views are very pretty and there is activity every night, but seats fill up quick. BAD. Bouganville has no elevator so if your room is not on the first floor, you will be climbing and walking a lot. The mattresses feel like a thin mattress on top of plywood. Very uncomfortable. Restaurants are included with the all inclusive but you can not book reservations when you arrive to the property so unless you book months in advance restaurants are just to look and not to use. Waist of space. Air condition is only in the room and buffet, not in the halls, reception, bars. Ice is only available if you order it, there are no ice machines. Service is good but it's great if you speak Spanish. No Spanish you may have a hard time.

The Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville just seemed a little out dated and out of the way. We flew in to Punta Cana and it was over an hour an a half ride one way. We wanted direct flights and the La Roma airport was limited. The excursions that we also booked at the hotel had long bus rides which really made for long days. Our room had some issues but was clean and somewhat comfortable. Our bathroom had sewer smells coming from the shower drain. The shower head had corrosion as well as the soap dish. Still we managed to make the most of it. The hotel is set in a little cove so the ocean water was not very clear and we saw no water activities that the hotel provided. The food was okay with the buffet being average. I will say the Asian restaurant was great with a lot of variety. The Italian restaurant was the second best but really hard to get reservations. We walked in one night and the they were able to get us a table and the food was very tasty. I'm sorry but the names of the different restaurants escape me right now but overall they were okay. The pools were nice but of course very busy because very few people were at the beach. We have stayed all over the Caribbean so I think I try to give honest reviews. I am sorry to say that we will not consider going back to the Bouganville resort. When we travel, we want more than average.
