Overall, we had a nice stay at GR Solaris Cancun. The resort has a great beachfront location, a relaxed atmosphere, and friendly, hardworking staff who clearly try their best. The pools and beach access were highlights and made the stay enjoyable.
However, there were several downsides that stood out. The food was consistently disappointing for an all-inclusive resort. Meals were repetitive, underseasoned, and often lacked flavor, making dining one of the weaker parts of the experience. On top of that, it was surprisingly difficult to make dinner reservations at the restaurants, which was frustrating and limited dining options even further.
Cleanliness was also hit-or-miss. While some areas were fine, other parts of the resort felt a bit dirty or not as well maintained as expected, especially for a resort of this size.
Despite these issues, we still had a pleasant stay overall thanks to the location, amenities, and staff. If food quality, cleanliness, and easy dining reservations are high priorities, this may not be the best choice—but if you’re mainly looking for beach time and a laid-back getaway, GR Solaris Cancun can still be enjoyable.
