Clean room nice bed and good showers

The were two curtain tracks in the first room we stayed at, but only one fabric curtain. This was not a problem on the first night (although it is nice when curtain tracks overlap so there is not a gap where the curtains meet). On the second night, it was a problem as several very bright bursts of light came through the curtains throughout the night - bright enough to wake me up when I had dozed off. In our second room, there were two curtains - one made of blockout fabric and one sheer. A much better arrangement.

Very clean room and comfortable beds.

All facilities offered at City Palms are clean and easily accessible. Staff are very friendly and approachable and happy to give suggestions regarding activities in Cairns. My stay here has been relaxing and very comfortable. I will certainly be back to stay here again and would highly recommend City Palms to family and friends. Thank you team! Very basic but everything I needed. Good shower pressure, quality mattress. AC worked and kettle for coffee. Pool was good for post promenade run dip! Happy hour $7 beer and wine. What more do you want?!

My room was not as described, not even a jug to make tea or coffee unlike the description. Shared toilets and showers were disgusting and filthy and definitely not enouh to service the amount of rooms they are supposed to. The girl in reception was really rude when we checked in. This place used to be really nice but now it is CRAP! I do not recommend it and I will never stay here ever again! Save your money and book elsewhere, this place should be demolished it is bad for Cairns and visitors!!
