The room was less than $50 a night but we took a gamble. I was delighted and surprised on how clean the room was! No extras (did not include shampoo, soap, coffee pot, etc) but it worked for us for a night. It was nice that it included a mini fridge and microwave. There was some guests who were loud and fighting in the parking lot and some other undesirables hanging outside but nothing too crazy, just be aware. Clean cheap room was worth it.

I am writing to inform you about a very unpleasant experience during my recent stay at Vagabond Hotel in Bakersfield. In the morning at 7:00 AM, someone from your staff knocked very loudly on my door and woke me up. It was completely unexpected and very disturbing. Then again, around 9:00 AM, another staff member knocked loudly and shouted that checkout is at 11:00 AM. This happened twice, and it was extremely uncomfortable. I was planning to sleep until 10:30 AM, but because of these interruptions, I could not rest at all. It was awful and very frustrating. I respect hotel policies, but there was no reason to wake me up two separate times, especially in such a loud and disruptive way. I expected a peaceful and comfortable stay.

Booked with Expedia 1 bed non smoking room, they give us a 2 beds and the room has a really strong smell a marihuana, didn't try to switch room because i was late around 9pm and was tired from driving, the room was dirty and pretty damaged, a lots of people walking outside and talking pretty loud all night long, the people on the upper room were walking and making a lot of noises all night long, we booked just for sleep few hours and get some rest and back on the road, didn't get any rest. Overall not a good place to get some rest, lots of bad looking people around the property.
