I really enjoyed my stay here, the location was good, the breakfast was really amazing value and very tasty, and the staff were all very friendly and very helpful. I would go again without a doubt. The main problem we had was the weather, which is nothing to do with our accommodation.

Very clean and well-managed please, a refreshing change from your budget chains. Handy for the Spa if you're attending something there.

Absolutely amazing stay. The hotel was beautiful, and very accommodating. We stayed in room 6 in the courtyard, and it was one of the nicest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in, truly beautiful. Really cosy and romantic. We had our dog with us as well, they left a dog bowl and some treats in the room for him which was a lovely addition. Food in restaurant for breakfast and dinner was lovely too. Will definitely be back!

We hadn't stayed here before and it had been a long time since we'd been in Scarborough so didn't really have any expectations. We were 'upgraded' to a sea view room on the 4th floor but this is a 19th Century building so don't expect palatial. Everything was clean but tired but this is reflected in the price. The communal areas are stunning. The room wasn't serviced but we were only there 2 nights so that wasn't a problem and reception happily supplied us with more tea/coffee/milk. The Spa bath didn't work - again not too much of an issue. I also want to give a special thank you to Ann Bell who we 'happened across' whilst having we were orientating ourselves. She went out of her way to give us a guided tour and was very informative and helpful. 5* for Ann. On the whole our stay was comfortable and enjoyable but you do have to remember the age of the building and its' constraints. Parking could be an issue in the height of the Summer I suspect but it is certainly on our 'go back to' list
