The grand grand.
Only stayed 1 night. But enjoyed it. Will definitely stay here again.
Room was horrendous, telly didn’t work, dirty mouldy windows, dirty rusty radiator, blood smears on walls, chipped old furniture, no room to walk up sides of bed, limited drinks in bar areas. On the bright side breakfast was nice.
Couldn't fault the hotel, considering the building is 150 years old it was in great condition, very well looked after, everywhere was clean and tidy. It was -1 outside but the whole hotel was lovely and warm, very relaxing. The staff were all nice and very helpful, the food and the dining room were great. The only thing that let it down was the parking outside, not enough spaces.
i left a day early the room was noisey being next to lifts it was hot and very small for a double and lit up all night from a light in window opposite it was impossible to get a drink there was always a queue of about 15 because the bar person was clearly overwhelmed i don't know where the coach loads came from but they were fighting in the bar and you don't expect that in a hotel

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
We found the room really clean and cosy. The only issue we had was when the toilet flushed a nasty drains smell came from the shower plug.
Booked double twin when in room only one towel , no heating no wardrobe or cupboard space, windows scruffy cups brown scuff marks. Felt as if room was for a single person.
The reception are was great cant knock that where we was situated it looked like it not been hooverd for a month the windows looked like they have not been cleaned in 6 month and as for the cooks and chef they should be retrained or got rid of

no it isn't the best, but at the price I've zero complaints & I wouldn't think twice about booking again & you can see its getting better slowly but surely & if I move to the area I will try & get the manager to employ me clear so outside fungus mold issues
We stayed mew yr 23 and whay a party fab entertainmemt staff were fab room was nice . Fast forward to new year 24. New years party a big disappointment . Not half as good as year before . Room was below average. Flaking paint all over carpet due to what looks like a damp patch. Room was full of cob webs not cleaned to any decent standard. Food breakfast was good but the orange juice was awful and only resembled oj same colour but awful to taste . Staff i found 2 members really quite rude. I love being in scarbough its one of my favourite places . Doubt ill be booking the grand next year. We stayed in room 543
