Travel approximately 8 kilometres northeast of Western Province and you'll discover the bustling streets of Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte.

Seeduwa - Katunayake is located 25 kilometres to the north. The trip over can be easily justified by Negombo Beach alone.

Kick back and have a picnic and feel the cool sea breeze on your face at Bentota Beach or Mount Lavinia Beach.

Travel a little out of Western Province and you'll stumble on some wonderful natural sights. Just 13 kilometres away, Beira Lake is a terrific spot to get a little fresh air. Also consider exploring Muthurajawela Visitor Centre, 20 kilometres away from Western Province.
