We booked twin room but upgraded to a family room 426 honestly the room was tiny my husband stayed on the sofa bed which had a big hump in it 😡 room looked nothing like the pictures very dissatisfied we had a long drive home so felt sorry for my partner having to sleep in a sofa bed which needs to be binned

My second stay here and the experience both times has been very similar. It is a stunning building in beautiful grounds. Some of the staff are really nice but some really couldn't care less. On this trip the gentleman on breakfast just barked "room number" when I approached. He didn't offer me any tea or coffee either - although I heard him offer someone else some. Maybe he forgot or maybe he didn't like the look of me. I also had a problem with the automatic blinds. They are remote control - the remote control did not work. I reported it to the front desk and when I returned there was no update and they still didn't work. So no privacy. The room was spacious and pleasant to be in but some of the team members let this place down!

Exceptionally accommodating staff. Jack was most pleasant and Phil most learned with regards cocktails. Sandra the manager is always most helpful. It really is an exceptional little boutique hotel . Thank you for a lovely stay I will return again in early June.

Super cheap and great stay for the price. Clean tidy and functional, and close to supermarket and restaurant right next door. Would recommend

The restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent, staff were friendly, food was excellent, we were glad we didn’t have to go far to eat as being new to the town it was hard to find a place. I believe the restaurant is closing which will be a shame for future travellers.. I asked to check in 15mins early & was told it would cost £15 which I thought was a bit rude, the young girl couldn’t have cared less, when we did check in the guy that was there was rude & not helpful at all.. Hotel looked dated & unclean on the outside.
