It's situated 540 kilometres northeast of Washington, the capital of United States of America.

Sitting 95 kilometres to the southeast, Narragansett Beach is a perfect spot to spend a few hours enjoy the coastal sights and smells. Scarborough Beach also offers visitors some lovely views. You'll discover this piece of coastline 100 kilometres to the southeast.

There's no need to travel for hours to witness some wonderful natural sights. Jump in the car and follow the road signs to Mount Tom, 40 kilometres away from Wales, for a laid-back day. Or perhaps Holyoke Heritage State Park is more your thing? It's situated just 35 kilometres away.

Located 40 kilometres away, Fitton Field is a favourite for keen baseball fans. Pack some green and navy, and time your stay with a live game featuring the home team, the Worcester Bravehearts. You can also cheer on the second home team, the Holy Cross Crusaders.

Feel the icy wind tussle your hair as you glide down the slopes at Ski Sundown. If you're desperate for more icy action, you should also check out the trails at Ski Butternut.
