Our stay at the Publick House was Amazing! We stayed in Room 509, in the building to the Left of the Main Building. The room was super clean and the building was decorated beautifully for Christmas. We ate at the Main Restaurant and that was scrumptious! We did have 1 issue with the thermostat in that it was very hot in the room And we couldn't get the thermostat lower than 69. We were told to put it on air conditioning and that it would go down from there but it still didn't decrease. I ended up shutting it off and it was fine all night. I'm sure that will get fixed before the next guest. :) Beautiful place! We hope to be back!

The place was fairly clean, you can tell it is for people fishing or short stays. The rooms are huge! The rooms are nicely set up. You are right on a main highway, so it’s loud at night due to traffic. The rooms have been updated. Staff is not very outgoing or friendly but not rude. There are a lot of bugs and spiders but otherwise appeared clean. I would look for somewhere else next time as the cost was not worth the room.

Beautiful place. Friendly staff. Drove in at night and couldn’t find the office to check in. There was another couple wandering back and forth trying all the doors looking for it too. Also the coffee was terrible. But they offered a lovely choice of complementary pastries to enjoy with the coffee. I left it and took hot chocolate. Beautifully decorated for the holiday.
