I had a fantastic time here. The property is stunning. The restaurants that are directly in front of the property are fantastic and it is perfect for escaping the crowds while still remaining closes to everything. I highly recommend staying here while staying in Venice.

The hotel had no on-site staff and only one entrance and the door malfunctioned and wouldn’t unlock. This was a once in a lifetime trip to Venice for us and it was ruined by this ridiculous issue. My wife talked to an employee at the restaurant next door and found out that the hotel has had this problem many times before. It seems inexcusable that they would not address this issue, if it keeps happening. Our medicine was locked in the hotel and we couldn’t get to it. So we sat outside the hotel waiting for the issue to be fixed for 2 hours.

The Portego was centrally located with so many places to eat and drink. The hotel was safe and secure as well as very clean. The staff was super friendly. The bathroom seemed like it was recently remodeled and was very modern. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our stay very much.

This place was close to main streets for getting around Venice, but removed enough that it was very quiet at night. Air conditioning was a place, and very beautiful. I stayed in the room with a balcony and it was so peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.

Very kind staff and in a great location. Only trouble was finding the hotel, but just make sure to use the address on Expedia and not the Google maps locations (the hotel is next to a fruit vendor/store)!

Antico Portego Hotel Venice

The hotel was 10 minutes from the Venezia S. Lucia Main train station and the Freey pier to all major tourist sight seeing points. The room was quiet, cleanliness, eco-friendly. Only the bed was not comfortable. The lady helped us check in was friendly and helpful, we thank you for her service.
