Although the rooms are small, this guesthouse is located only around a block away from the subway station and within walking distance of many restaurants. It is also very close to the LGBT nightclubs and restaurants. The building itself is very secure and has parking right behind the house.

This is probably specific to room 22, but if you get that one I suggest ask for another! The floor has sagged so much that the bed is tilted sideways; it feels constantly as if you're being tipped onto the floor, which doesn't make for a good night's sleep. The property is old and this sort of subsidance happens to such old structures, but I would strongly advise finding a way to level out the bed at least, maybe changing the layout of the room or using a bed with adjustable corner supports.

Perfect for a more budget friendly stay in Toronto. A lot of places to eat near by and a very short walk to the subway. All thought the room was small it had everything you need. Would recommend.

Our 2 night stay in the King #11 room was perfect. We loved every minute of it. The mansion built in the 1800's is in impeccable condition and has what you can expect in regards to power concerns - just don't run more than one thing at the same time and you don't have issues, it's that simple and doesn't hinder anything about the stay. The room was super clean and the linens were crisp white. Staff were so lovely and parking is a tight squeeze with limited spots but reserve the spot with a quick message during booking and you're all set. You have to keep in mind this is in a neighborhood of closely built Victorian style homes and spaces for parking wasn't a need during construction. Location is close to absolutely anything you need and Uber is unbelievably quick to get anywhere you need at a distance. Can't wait to book a stay here again.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. All staff we met were incredibly friendly and the property itself is a real gem amongst overpriced hotels in the downtown Toronto area. The room we had was beautiful and spacious for the two of us and extremely affordable for our 3 night stay. We genuinely had a lovely time and would absolutely stay again on our next trip.

A great location in the downtown area. Close to transport options, but walkable, and a vast variety of cuisines to select from in the local cafes and restaurants. Despite limited hours for reception, after hours checkin was straightforward and easy.

I felt very safe and it was very quiet. There are a lot of attractions nearby and a few discounts at some restaurants. It didn’t have all the bells and whistles but the price was right and it was a lovely room. I didn’t see a way to control the temperature and it was quite warm inside. We ended up opening the windows so we could sleep. I would stay again. Parking was scarce and we had to circle the block twice to find it.
