This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed in. The bathrooms were disgusting. But the worst thing was the paper thin walls. I could hear EVERYTHING, and got NO sleep at all. Which made it super unsafe for driving to my next destination. I was thoroughly unimpressed

Inflexible policies and not a hotel

We didnt realize this was a hostel when we booked and found management inflexible in resolving our issue. Had to leave early with paying for nights not used. You wont know if you have issue until you check in and once you check in it is too late to change reservations. I think it should be clear this is a hostel and not a 3 star hotel as listed.

Rooms are big. Very beautiful location. The location is actually little bit away from Te-Anu market. It’s 5 min drove or 25 min walk from the market. 5-10 min walkable to bird sanctuary

Comfortable, clean, and convenient

This motel had a great location and great views of the lake. We were there as a family of five, with two kids aged 10 and 16. The beds were comfortable and we had a kitchen. The room was also clean and offered everything we needed.

Very comfy and well appointed. The studio motel room was a bit dated in appearance but this didn’t take away from our stay at all. Nice location with a pleasant walk to town. Would definitely stay again!

Great for our stop to explore around Te Anua and Milford sound. My only criticism would be there were no towels which I didn’t realise and the quilt cover had no cover and looked dirty.

This is a basic spot. We had a kitchenette cabin for a family of four. No bathroom so walked yo main one. Got the job done. It had space for our kids to play, felt safe, and allowed us to explore the area. We stayed three nights. Biggest drawback: wifi was awful, inconsistent and spotty.

Comfortable enough, nice walk to town

Night stopover for work, while comfortable enough, I felt like the nightly price was a little high (I travel a lot for work in the lower South Island ). I totally understand I was visiting for work, in peak hiking season and booked a week out, which definitely will have played its part. Demand pushes prices out. Bed was comfortable, and facilities wise there was enough to cook a meal etc. Good area, close to the lake and nice walk to town.

We had an excellent overnight stay in a king studio. Good facilities. Shower floor had a screw sticking through the Lino but otherwise all good. Excellent location.
