Room was pleasantly clean and nice with a great view of the Fiordland National Park . They left several clean dishes and utensils for our use.

The room had suitable crockery and cutlery plus a kettle fridge and toaster. Unfortunately the TV didn't work because the aerial cable plug did not have a matching socket in the TV. The main problem was lack of hot water in the toilet and shower block. The shower fluctuated between cold and luke warm. The WiFi would come and go constantly (no mobile signal in that area). Communal kitchen and toilet block were always kept clean and tidy.

"Great Views" were not provided - we had a 12-foot by 15-foot concrete block wall, screen door access, view of the sound wall that separated us from the adjacent main highway. Bathrooms were separate, and 30 yards from the structure. We stopped in, got the key, observed the above, and went to town to find better accommodations.

The rooms and bathroom were very nice and clean. The 2 issues we had were with the Internet and the kitchen. As international travelers we didn’t have a fast data plan. We relied on the wifi in the hotels/ holiday parks where we stayed. The internet didn’t work at all. We needed to book hotels and tours for the next few days of our trip and were unable to do so. This was a huge problem for us. Also the kitchen was miserable. No hot water!!! How do you clean communal dishes with no hot water? That’s not sanitary. Also it wasn’t very clean and it was very poorly stocked with pots and pans.

Stayed for 2 nights January 12- 14th, place is ok and ok if on a budget. Paid with my credit card on arrival $231 for a 'Queen cabin" Found my credit card was charged again on January 24th while back in Australia a further $231.40 AUD- trying to recoup the money through being charged again which apparently was a mistake. Now no email not being returned! Ivy(owner) has now dropped off communication. FRAUDULENT and Dishonest. Extremely disappointed by the lack of integrity associated with this business. Please be warned. Only pay cash if you do choose to stay here as you may be in for further charges down the road.

Without having a cell phone, it was extremely difficult to access the property for check in due to security gates. Once we were let in the gates, there was no one at reception. The room was clean and comfortable. The shared bathrooms were clean and well lit with automatic lighting. Although the lights in the women’s shut off during showering both days. The shared kitchen facility was less than ideal with very few cooking pots, pans, utensils etc. if you are traveling with a self catering camper van you will be fine.

Beautiful views of the Fiordlands. Quiet and clean accommodations. We were told at check-in that they only accept cash - I was never informed of this prior to booking or any time before arrival. The person working there was a bit rude - very surprising for NZ because everyone else we have interacted with has been incredibly friendly. There were signs hanging in reception that were perhaps meant to be funny, but stated that they didn’t care about providing good or pleasant customer service.

Apartment was old and outdated and parking very limited. On arrival, finding the reception was not simple as located at the back of the property. Staff provided a map showing where our cabin was and where to park, however, the map did not give a true indication of the buildings thus uncertainty where to park. On the 2nd day an extra car was parked where we had previously park and unsure if I would block unit 3, I parked along side the unit. I then got told off by staff for not parking where I was told to!!! Very abruptly. The kitchen facilities were good, however the outdated bathroom did not even have an extractor fan and when having a shower the floor gets very wet. Our bed was very lumpy, thus not a great experience for our 2 night stay.

We stayed here for two nights. The place was what I expected. The room was clean as well as the bathrooms and kitchen. The room got chilly at night, but a heater was provided, although it was quite loud. A larger duvet was also provided, however an additional charge would have been added to our room if we used it.

Woman at check-in was incredibly unfriendly. Paid $100 a night, and was charged extra for a towel! Would not go back.
