My wife hated it here. They are under renovation. Pool is closed. Do not stay. Limited free parking. Valet driver that run golf carta are rude. Just a horrible stay all around. Left a clmplaint with Expedia bit could not get a refund or cancel stay. I no longer use expedia

Without TV for hours! Good ending!

Upon arrival we were greeted very friendly! We get to our room, the tv isn’t connected to the internet so we call front desk they put a ticket in for an engineer to check it in the morning. We said okay had day trips plans to be out of the room. I called on my way back about 3:30pm and the front desk agent stated that she would put another ticket in. By 5:30 pm on Saturday our tv was still not fixed mind you we checked out Sunday morning. So I call the front desk once again and the agent lets me know the engineer said they are having internet issues and that we could move to another room even tho we checked out in the morning! I agreed to move rooms because the bigger pool they advertised was closed. A small serenity pool was open, but that’s not the one we booked the room for. They did end upgrade our room when they moved us and we enjoyed snacks and got to end the rainy night watching tv!

The staff did their best to accommodate us even though the whole resort was undergoing major renovation, which was not disclosed when I booked stay months ago (was there for 10 days). The main pool, spa, most restaurants were closed when we arrived. We were not informed before to the stay. The air conditioning was not on in the gym. The carpets in the rooms were stained, the rooms were not properly stocked, and the furniture was very worn/stained/dated. Construction was ongoing the entire time we were there. Bed was very comfortable. Not the resort experience we were hoping for. Again, the staff was very accommodating and helpful through it all.

The “resort” was under construction. It should have NEVER been open to the public. They charged an amenity fee when we didn’t have access to any amenities. The main pool and pool bar was shut down. The fitness center was closed. The patios, windows and grounds are not cleaned daily. The hotel rooms are not cleaned during your stay. the grounds keepers fly by your window at 6:30 am driving back and forth and waking you up everyday.

Unsafe due to limited areas for people with mobility issues. Filthy dirty floors- both tile and carpet- to the extent our feet were black after walking on them. Maid service did nothing but fold our used bath mat and replace the 2 towels but not the washcloths nor did they take the used towels or wash cloths. No vacuum or bed making or wiping anything down. No option but to use the valet service for $30 a night then charged again a resort fee for the amenity of having that service, rides to our outlying room after arrival, a spa we never found due to construction having moved it and a small pool for $28 per night. Both fees were exorbitant due to the construction and current conditions. The audacity of charging for both due to their own circumstances on top of resort hotel nightly charges is ludicrous. I had already paid and was unable to get refund or would have left upon check in. The only bright spot was valet and bellman.

The resort may have been great in its hey day, but the suite we were given was very, very outdated. The rugs were stained and the furniture was soiled. We checked out the very next day. Will never stay there again. Thankfully Expedia gave us a $100 cash allowance to cover the inconvenience of having to find a new hotel.

The property is under renovation, and they don't let you know about the amenities, like their pool, and restaurants. The noise of the construction starts early, the workers are cutting down trees with chainsaws in the morning. Upstairs we had a family, that stepped so hard, that it knocked down the light cover in one of the bathrooms. My room was so 1980s it smelled like mold. We bought a room deodorizer to help with the smell. We lost power in the middle of the night, and the room was so hot. I'm aware they gave me an upgrade, at no charge, but it was right in front of the pool. I mean the resort is so big. I could have been on an area without the construction traffic. It was also my birthday (60) and the Dempsey bar told me they were closed, while having two customers sitting there. The bell men and valets are the only part that was worth it. I'm never coming back, letting my friends know how it went at Saddlebrook resort . . .

Like the pool, staff Gina was helpful, the Spa was closed the whole 2 weeks I was there, the jacuzzi was dirty and no one never cleaned it someone just put a closed sign and left it dirty. This is a golf course so I wouldn’t recommend this place if you just want to get up and go instead of calling someone to drive you to the front in order to get your car. The go cart drivers are very nice and pleasant.

Disappointing Stay - Under Renovations - Stay Away! Check-in staff was rude and unwelcoming rough way to start our trip. One of the more frustrating parts of our stay was the need to be shuttled between our room and valet desk. The room was extremely underwhelming. It felt old, worn down hence the renovations at the resort. To make matters worse, the sliding glass door in our room had only a sheer curtain—no privacy whatsoever. Anyone walking by outside could see directly into our room, day or night. That is completely unacceptable and made us feel uncomfortable the entire stay. A particularly unpleasant moment was when I went to get ice. The condition of the room that housed the ice and laundry machines was frankly shocking. The ice machine appeared to have been out of order for years, and the area was filthy — not something you'd expect to see anywhere, let alone at a resort. It was genuinely unacceptable. That said, I do want to acknowledge the valet staff, who were timely, friendly, and seemed to be doing their best to make guests feel taken care of. They were a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. This resort clearly has potential, but it’s currently falling short in too many areas. Until significant improvements are made, I can’t recommend it.

The velvet parking leaves a bit to be desired. It ended up just being easier for us to walk to the front rather than call for someone to come pick us up to bring us our car.
