Pictures misleading - Do not recommend

Room was dated and in disrepair. Photos showed a full kitchen, however we did not have an oven (which was pictured). Mildew everywhere, including along the fridge seal. Chairs were falling apart and wall paper peeling. We were there for a dance competition/convention and the rooms the kids were taking classes in had carpets that were pulling up and sticking to the kids. They were also clearly not set up to handle large conventions. Trying to get into the resort caused a 30-45 min backup as there was only one guard station. Self parking is a mile away from the convention center and shuttles took forever (and were not convenient if you needed to use your car at any point). The valet parking was full before noon, so making the hike from self parking with luggage, costumes, etc was being done by everyone, causing the shuttles to fill up faster/unable to take as many people at a time. Would not stay here again.

Hidden gem! This resort was perfect for our family of 4. We enjoyed having separate bedrooms and bathrooms, a full sized kitchen and (even though it was too cold this time of year) the pool looked beautiful! I was apprehensive about having no self parking and having to call for a ride each time we needed to leave, but the bell service was prompt!

Beware

If you like easy access to your vehicle, do not stay here. There are two options for parking. You can valet for $10 then have someone take you to your room in a golf cart. Or you can park in the public parking lot then wait in the middle of the lot where a shuttle will eventually pick you up and take you to the main building and then you have to find someone with a golf cart to take you to your room. Good luck if you are carrying luggage or it’s raining. Reverse the process in order to leave your room so hopefully, you’re not in a hurry as this process is lengthy. During our stay, valet was not even an option as it was already full. Once we finally made it to our room, we were met with more disappointment. The room was very dated and musty. You won’t get this smell out of your nose for a few days. We were in a one bedroom suite that was equipped with old dirty furniture, peeling wallpaper everywhere and dated appliances. Don’t stay here.

Requesting a refund overcharge from what Expedia indicated suppose to be 120 ended up 300 definitely Fraud because of transportation felt like a prisoner. Very dirty leak from roof not clean no refrigerator and because of insulin needed one. Tv didn’t work. Walls dirty outside patio so dirty

Disappointing and discrimination

Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We booked two nights but had to cancel after the first one. There was no hot water, and although a technician was sent, the issue was never resolved. Additionally, the TV controls were not working. The most concerning part was the way my wife was treated, as she was disregarded and treated with little respect, possibly due to being Latina. This is unacceptable, especially in a place that welcomes guests from all nationalities. We expected much better from both the service and the facilities.

This property is very out dated and not kept up at all. The wall paper was coming off the walls. There were holes in the walls and ceilings. There were bugs and spiders in all the rooms. I was with a large group and everyone had the same complaints. The rooms were not worth the cost at all! There was not enough parking so I was forced to park in a lot that was a 10 minute drive to the property. The shuttle was not running any type of consistent schedule. The regular rooms do not have a fridge. The WiFi was terrible and so was cell service.

This was our second time to Saddlebrook and unfortunately this second trip paled in comparison the our first with regard to cleanliness, organization and service. The junior tennis program (especially the coaching) was excellent.

The property was nice, but very outdated and kind of rundown. They have undisclosed charges in addition to the daily rate such as resort fees at $28.00 per day, mandatory valet parking at a $30 per night fee, and taxes for the additional fees.

The rooms are very dated and needs remodeling. The staff on the other hand are very attentive and pleasant. The front desk was cooperative and understanding to allow us to cancel our reservation. The hotel is going through a makeover now. I might be willing to reconsider once its completed.

Horrible experience overall. Room needed to be updated, everything was extremely old and outdated. Tv didn’t work, toilet didn’t work, lamp didn’t work, and construction woke us up. They make you use valet and make you use the bell service for traveling to/from your room. Mandatory charge for both which was not made clear when booking. Valet and bell service drivers were all nice. Front desk was not helpful or good at explaining anything. Rude when we brought up said issues and wouldn’t refund the second night when we decided to leave after the first night. We even checked out before 11 am the very next morning, they still would not refund second night. Horrible customer experience and service. Overall would absolutely NOT recommend.

Deceptive pricing. Though fine print has a $30 resort fee, it's not transparent. Worse, valet parking clearly noted as OPTIONAL but it is mandatory. Trips to/from room require a walk or a rarely present golf cart ride. Rooms smell of mold and mildew. Appliances, general decor extremely dated. Avoid avoid avoid.
