The staff were very friendly and helpful. We received a little bag with water and snacks. We were placed on a ground floor as requested but we were placed at the very end of a very long hallway. The room was clean and spacious. The couch was a nice touch. We could not figure out the TV, so had to ask for help, Staff came to the room to show us how it works. There should be instructions in the room on how to watch regular TV. We used the microwave to heat up our supper. 2 problems. the plate inside was not fitted for this Microwave and rattled around. The the unit tripped out the power bar, and there went the TV. A tiny little Power Bar for 4 big loads. After resetting, it tripped again and again. Now what. We made the long walk to the front desk so the staff could heat up our meals. So much for heating up the complimentary popcorn. We like the soap dispensers in the bathroom and shower, and the hot breakfast was great. There are renovations going on.

The room was filthy, sofa cushion was torn up and the bedding was a mess. The toilet constantly ran. The indoor common areas and exterior areas were filled with construction debris such as toilets, broken furniture, mattresses and garbage. It basically looked like a homeless encampment and should not be graded with any star. We cancelled our reservation and went to another hotel.

Staff seemed great. Received a call in our room after checking in to see if everything was good. Things noticed... when showering, the water is very slow to drain. During my shower the water in the bottom of the tub was up to my ankles. Room needs a through dusting. In the day light noticed cobwebs on the walls, corners of room, artwork behind bed and on light fixture above full lenght mirror.

Back entry to room filthy. Found it hard to believe any business would alow it to be this messy. No more than 30 minutes of work. Bedroom nice but what looks like and might be “black mildew” in tub corner.

It is not in an ideal pedestrian area but Parking was fine and it wasn't too noisy. The lobby was clean as was the room. There is a coffee machine, soap dispensers on the walls, and fridge and microwave in the room. There is no elevator so be prepared to carry your bags up the stairs. There are vending machines without items for purchase in them. They do give you a doggie bag of munchies including water when you arrive. Speaking of arrival, I arrived on time and waited for 14 minutes in the lobby for someone to return to the desk. On the desk was a sign that said back in 15 minutes or less with no departure time. I have no idea how long it was up before I arrived. Another couple came in after me. The phone kept ringing. A lady came in. And still, no one was there. They are obviously in the process of renovating as there were old mattresses and ironing boards piled up outside the hotel. I don't know when they were being disposed of but piles of old mattresses and iron boards outside is not a look that inspires confidence. The upper floor we were on was blocked off at the end as that was where the rooms they were updating were located. We didn't sample the complimentary breakfast so I can't comment on it. When the rooms are updated some of the items above will solve themselves. I do hope they hired more people as the front desk should never be left unsupervised, especially when guests are expected and the front door to the downtown property is left unlocked.
The sign that greeted me upon arrival. I stood at the desk for 14 minutes before someone returned. The phone rang, others arrived, the door to the hotel was open, and no one was there for security or to greet the guests.
