Been going to this hotel for over 4 decades, both when I lived in the Sault, bringing family in, and our wedding held there 23 years ago. Then, it was the premier hotel in the Soo - now, it’s tired. The carpet is pulling up in hallways, the paint is peeling off the front steel roof, the water features are broken and non-functioning and the indoor spa has been roped off and empty since my sister stayed in the spring. We had a large crack in our bathroom mirror and when we checked out we were questioned as if we had caused it. Not the worst hotel, but it’s fallen significantly. Most staff were very friendly and helpful, hopefully it can go back to what it once was.

Pool area in disrepair. Hot tub broken again. Carpets filthy. Broken tile in elevator (safety issue). Only one facecloth in room. Parking lot needs to be swept. Staff at check-in extremely slow. Rough clientele. Used to be the nicest hotel in the Soo and has gone extremely downhill.

The outdoor whirlpool was amazing but it helps the weather was nice. Glad for good weather because the indoor whirlpool was under maintenance. Booked room for 3 adults and 1 child and only 1 wash rag and 3 towels were provided before we asked for more. The room had a stench to it when we first walked in, then we just got used to it.
