If you're here in body but in mind you're living it up in Sasaguri, it's time to take that break. Sasaguri's downtown area doesn't have much in terms of accommodation, but you'll be able to stay in one of the 3 hotels within 10 kilometres of the action.
A couple of the most central hotels on offer, the Route-Inn Grantia Wakamiya and Hotel Yumeka are fantastic places to kick back and relax after a day of amazing adventures.
Choosing to stay in Sue is smart, as it's located only 4 kilometres away from the heart of town. Book a room at the Fukuoka International Hotel. It's the only place available in the area, so act fast!
You might also like to try the With The Style Fukuoka or the Hotel Marinoa Resort Fukuoka. The With The Style Fukuoka is 12 kilometres away from central Sasaguri, and the Hotel Marinoa Resort Fukuoka is 20 kilometres away. Others include the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka, 13 kilometres away, and the Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk, 18 kilometres away.
But don't just limit your sightseeing to Sasaguri. Take some extra time to check out some of the awesome attractions and activities that the wider Fukuoka region offers. Ruins are a few popular sights that should be on your must-do list. If the natural world is more your thang, make a date with Mother Nature and visit the area's beaches. More active visitors can also have a crack at popular activities like mountain biking and mountain climbing.
Everyone knows Aussies just love to have a good time, so consider kicking back a little longer and checking out the Nyoirinji Temple and the Goroyama Park in Tosu, 30 kilometres to the south of Sasaguri. If you'd like to visit Tosu, look into the rates at the Hotel Route-Inn Tosu Ekimae and Chisun Inn Tosu. Or, you could stay in Karatsu, 55 kilometres to the southwest of Sasaguri, where you can choose from the Asuka Hotel and Karatsu Royal Hotel. Karatsu Shrine and Mikaerino-taki are just some of the most popular attractions to explore for those visiting Karatsu.
Feeling a bit rough around the edges from the flight? Need somewhere half decent to crash but think 10 kilometres from Fukuoka Airport to the centre of town is waayyy too far? Relax. The Daiwa Roynet Hotel Hakata-Gion is just a stone's throw away and has your name all over it!
