The room was a good size, clean and comfortable although the hard flooring meant that noise from above was heard. The property is shown as having a bar and restaurant, these are in effect one and the same. The bar wasn't open in the afternoon (no waiter) and the only available refreshment was free beverages from a machine. Food is advertised as starting at 19.30, the menu is very basic and cooking not of particularly good quality. We wanted one quiet night around the hotel, but I would guess most guests prefer to eat out and there are plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. The old town is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel and worth a visit as is the Guggenheim a 15 minute walk.

My stay at Sercotel Coliseo was fantastic! Perfect central location for exploring Bilbao, with spacious modern rooms and excellent amenities. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and the second-floor terrace provided a lovely spot to unwind. Helpful staff and great value make this hotel a definite recommendation for anyone visiting this beautiful city.

Great location, shops and restaurants all nearby. Good transport links, we got the bus from the airport and then it was just a maximum of a 10 minute walk to the hotel. We had a junior suite as we needed a family room and the inclusion of a coffee machine was much appreciated.

Bilbao stay

A 2,day trip to watch a football Match. Bought a Barik card at the airport. A 10 minute walk to the hotel. The hotel is a good location for many amenities. Guggenheim is about a 15 minute walk.

Very good central Bilbao hotel, with parking

Very good city centre hotel. Good central Bilbao location (we walked to both old town and the Guggenheim) with bonus of (quite expensive) parking. Classic looking exterior but inside a very good, modern hotel. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We'd booked a classic double but were given a room upgrade and were extremely happy with the room we had. Very spacious, well equipped and comfortable, looking out on to the street. Buffet breakfast offered good choice, very enjoyable. For the price we paid for this stay it was excellent value and we would happily return.
