First and foremost the staff was superr friendly. This place is in a weird spot, but convenient for where I was attending a conference. Didn't seem like the "best" neighborhood but the hotel seemed safe enough. The buildings are definitely aged/older, and the building/hallways are clearly dated and still work, but the rooms aren't bad. Clean. Somewhat updated. My biggest complaint is the AC. It was left on in the room, but it NEVER got cool. I got in late my first night, so I just figured that was why. I was gone all day the next day and came back to a warm room. I opened the window in the bathroom thinking air flow might help. That was not the case. Could I have reported it right away and asked to be moved? Yes. Given the late hours I was returning, it just didn't seem worth it. Also, I couldn't locate an ice machine for the life of me.
Be mindful of a $50 charge for late checkout. I left by 1230 and checkout was 11am.
