The hotel portion was excellent - the room was spacious, clean, quiet, and had beautful fixtures and decor. There was something wrong with the water though, i suspect the boiler, as my shower water smelled like sulphur. Very unplesent. The lobby shares an entance wirh the casino and smelled overwhelminly like stake cigerettes. The location was central, within walking distance of downtown shops and had ample parking.

The hotel is located very conveniently to walk around downtown and trails. The staff were excellent, and the room was spacious and clean. The restaurant was really good and we felt totally safe.

No closet, no microwave, no place for things except the floor, no bedside table or plug in for the second person in the bed. Very crowded, more than expected with the 2 beds. Limited TV channels. Only 1 chair. Shower, no tub. Very clean and comfortable considering the small space.

The hotel was clean and well appointed. The front desk staff were all friendly and professional. The restaurant was charming and the staff there were very good, we throughly enjoyed Brenda, a waitress in the restaurant. She made our dinner more enjoyable

I recently did a nine day road trip with my senior parents, along the Gold Rush Trail. Our 2 day stop in Quesnel, at Billy Barker hotel, was definitely a highlight. The hotel was quaint, accessible for my dad and in a walkable location to restaurants, shops, etc. We enjoyed trying our luck at the casino. Every employee we came across was very pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel and will absolutely stay there again.

3rd Visit - Still a Great Place to Stay

This was 3rd stay in this hotel. It is clean, quiet and well located for walk-ability to shops and restaurants. Very good value for money. It will be the first consideration for accommodation for future overnight in Quesnel.
