Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing. We were placed in a room directly next to a room undergoing renovations, and the construction noise was constant throughout the day. After a long week of skiing, we were hoping for a restful final day before our flight home - but that wasn’t possible.
What’s most frustrating is that we were not informed about the renovation work in advance. Had we known, we would never have booked this room. When I raised the issue with reception, I was told the noise would stop by 5pm, as if that made the disruption acceptable.
The lack of transparency and concern shown by the staff was deeply disappointing. I sincerely hope they show more consideration to future guests by giving proper notice. At the very least, there is a duty of care to inform people of something so disruptive before they arrive.
