Me and my mother went for Mother’s Day for 5 days .The property is beautiful. However our room had no ac went to the front desk and made a complain twice and was told someone will come to fix it the 3 time I went I was told the ac on that side of the building don’t work and have the option to move my room on the 4 day before I left . The food is beyond salty and the drinks are super water down . Half of the staff don’t speak English so it’s really hard to communicate. The food is not label properly so you don’t know what you’re getting .

It wasn't the worst experience but it was definitely not the cleanest rooms. The big thing that was unpleasant for my wife and I was not having AC the 4 nights we stayed! It was very uncomfortable trying to sleep at night being so hot.

Overall my stay was nice. The staff were friendly and helpful except for the front desk. Some weren’t too helpful. The AC, the ceiling fan nor the phone was working in my room and the front desk said they’d sent maintenance. Around 11pm, after complaining for the third time, they moved us into another room. The AC wasn’t working in that room either. I heard from others that theirs wasn’t working either. The next day I was moved to another room and I was satisfied. Be sure to get the jerk chicken and tip money because the staff really does work hard.

Our rooms had broken toilets, outlets not working, AC issues, and keys frequently stopped working. Main pools were also very dirty. Besides the room issues, the rest of the experience at the resort was fun!

Food was mediocre but main issue was key card not working and thermostat wont go below 25 Celsius in the rooms....it was extremely hot to sleep comfortably

We checked into the RIU Republica on Friday and stayed until Tuesday morning. Overall, the waitstaff and housekeeping team were friendly and helpful. However, some members of the front desk and restaurant staff were rude and unaccommodating. One notable issue was the lack of washcloths during our entire stay—we had to use hand towels for showers, which was inconvenient. On a positive note, the room was clean, and the housekeeping staff did a great job meeting our requests and restocking the mini bar when asked. It’s also worth noting that this resort caters more to a younger adult crowd and party-goers. We were hoping for a relaxing getaway and an opportunity to immerse ourselves in the local culture, which we fortunately found through the excursions we booked outside the resort. While the stay wasn’t entirely unpleasant, it also wasn’t the best experience. If I return to the area in the future, I would likely choose a different resort that aligns more with the type of vacation I’m looking for.

Loved my whole stay as it was for party purposes just didn’t like the fact there’s not much to snack on besides the buffet or dinner and keys for the doors I had to prepare myself every time I was going to my room for a walk back to the reception to get a new key
