You’re here to party. The staff are amazing at keeping the energy up and you going. The overall cleanliness and room upkeep and conditions are not on par as some of the more luxury resorts. But it’s known to be the party budget friendly resort. Overall awesome, and you get what you pay for!

Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing. There was no hot water in the room, which made showers extremely uncomfortable. I also noticed roaches in the room, which is unacceptable. To make matters worse, the AC units didn’t work properly, leaving the room hot and stuffy. Overall, the experience did not meet basic standards of cleanliness or comfort. I would not recommend staying here until these issues are addressed.

LIKE: Daily room service, dedicated cleaning staff. DISLIKE: 10% English-speaking staff. But hey, i'm business your country. I can deal with that. Being assigned a room that should have been out of service or exchanged after notifying mgmt about and showing mgmt pictures of discrepancies. A band aid on a water bottle, wrinkled bed, indicating use, a toilet constantly running after flushing. It was obvious someone complained and was moved only to put someone else there hoping they wouldn't complain. Someone later mentioned.The service of each hotel is linked to its status. Per a guest this hotel is lower scale than other RIU hotels. The guest were 18-35 with their parents age scattered between. Uncomfortable king bed. I'll add pictures and a video of the bathroom issue to my google review. What they didn't know is that I rank in the top one percent of google reviewers for restaurants and hotels. If you treat everyone equally you never have to worry about this. No genuine help, it took 30 min to find room. I was given a key card and told is that way to the left. I finally found a staff member who walked with me and showed the way to the room. This service should be an option to everyone. Mediocre food per my opinion. Choose wisely. Rooms smelled like sewer and mold and they were not the cleanest. Front desk never took care of phone in room that didn’t work. Didn’t get requested Coffee or creamer until 4 days after being there. They only played Spanish music 90% of the time which I found very unaccommodating to American guests. The ONLY thing that was good and very appreciated was the service at the Mangu Buffet!

Did not get to stay there. They over booked and we were given an “upgrade” to RIU Palace Punta Cana. Terrible service from RIU all around. Transferred three time before we actually got a hotel room. No supervisor would show their face. Will not ever stay at a RIU resort again.

The staff was amazing. The hyped us all up from the minute we walked in. They were so kind, fun and respectful. The resort was always kept clean and beautiful. The food was delicious. We went to a different restaurant every night… the Italian and steakhouse are my favourites. The entertainment was really good. The beach was sometimes clean and sometimes full of seaweed but the staff try their best to clean it.
