We knew this property was older, that was the appeal. It takes you back to another time. We loved our room with a balcony, and the lovely rooftop terrace isn’t to be missed for taking a nightcap up with you. There weren’t a lot of amenities, we were prepared with our own shampoo etc. we faced the street which seemed to be a gathering place for young people at night, so a set of earplugs is a must and you won’t be bothered. Great location, we would stay here again.

The hotel is really wonderful, with a very interesting history worth reading about. I was a little bothered by some bouse at night, but that's really about being in a town with a healthy nightlife. It's worth a small inconvenience for staying in the hotel! Pisa is a little hip, with some alternative lifestyle apparent. There are some super restaurants nearby. I liked Lou Lee's...the pasta was fantastic. For anyone going to stay there, I can promise you a unique stay at the hotel...beautiful, and quite charming.

This hotel is a very old hotel and the age shows in the rooms and the hotel. This is both a good and bad thing when it comes to basic amenities like showers and air conditioning. While I love the history of this hotel, it has a lot of unique features that are needing an upgrade.

Little comfort in the room

Generally a clean hotel however the room is dated and sparse with almost no electricity sockets. Granted it's a very old hotel but a bit more comfort such as a rug on the old wooden floor would help. Staff very obliging.

Victorian style hotel

We enjoyed a comfortable night and this hotel which was like a step back in time. Lots of original features through the hotel which had been taken full advantage of to maximise an old world experience. Loved it!

Wonderful view from the room. It was an easy walk from the train station and then to the leaning tower. The wood floors were... interesting. Definitely needed to wear shoes in the room. But the room was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.

Great option in Pisa

Old classic hotel by the river, great location with easy walk to the Dome and Tower and just 13 min walk from the train station. The hotel is old style but in very good shape, I got a room with river view and it was well worth it. Loved Pisa, underrated stop in la Toscana. Staff makes a great aperitif and there is a very nice terrace to enjoy a sit down. Would stay again.

We arrived at the hotel very late, to a friend of Welcome and the offer of room service for some drinks, as the hotel didn’t have a bar The staff kindly helped us to get our bags to our room which is very spacious and clean, although a little bit tired in decoration. However the excellent location of the hotel in the historic centre overlooking the river more than made up for the decor. A pleasant buffet breakfast was included in the price. All of the staff were extremely helpful & friendly. I would happily stay there again

Charming hotel with wonderful staff

The oldest hotel in Italy, you won't find the sterile decor of most hotels but it's charming and clean with lots of interesting things to look at. The air conditioning is a bit noisy but was very appreciated. The views over the river are very beautiful, the Palazzo Blu is just across the river and there are some great gelateria and restaurants nearby. Leaning Tower is about 15min walk. What stood out to us at this hotel was the staff. They were all very welcoming, friendly and happy to give us advice on where to park our car, dinner recommendations etc.

Good hotel with a great location.

A comfortable hotel in a great location with lots of character and history. Antique furnishing provided a quant charm and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was a buffet that helped to start the day off right.

Hotel has amazing history and a great charm to it. It is in a great location with a lovely free breakfast. However the age of the property does show, the rooms were not in the best condition and the lack of AC left for not a very good nights sleep.

The hotel was very cute and cozy and what I expected knowing it’s one of the oldest hotels. The location was ideal being close to the airport and to the tower of Pisa. The staff were very helpful with explaining the event that was happening on the river at the night of our stay as well as guiding us to the roof for a better viewing experience. All in all we really enjoyed our stay.
