The hotel froze $100 on my account as a deposit, but no one explained it clearly at check-in. I found a dead cockroach on the floor that remained there for two days. Communication was difficult as the housekeeper spoke only Spanish, and the receptionist with red hair was harsh, making us feel unwelcome.
The “breakfast” was almost non-existent — nothing like what was advertised. What made things even worse was that every morning there was a man sitting in the kitchen area next to the reception, playing loud music on his radio. His unkempt appearance, with visibly swollen feet and poor hygiene, made the dining area feel unsanitary and very uncomfortable.
On the positive side, the air conditioning in the room worked well, and when I gave my documents to the front desk, they were returned safely.
