This was one of the highlights when we visited the Cabot Trail. We would definitely recommend this Motel for anyone planning on visiting the Trail.

Nice view .Very peaceful area.But beside road building so traffics sound night. Clean .No microwave. No kettles. But they have coffee machine .Warm breakfast coffee was great .

We booked two rooms. The first one was clean but had a very musty smell. Needs to be updated. The 2nd room was a “dog” room that we were charged $20 pet charge (expected) but they also charged $10 more for a lake view. This room smelled really bad. Moldy shower curtain. It was not a nice room nor a very nice room of the lake. Breakfast was horrible. Only the toast was good. Overall I would not stay here again for the prices we paid.

The property is an excellent value. Ellipse service is limited but Wifi had a very strong signal. The room was nice and clean and newer than other parts of the motel. The trade off for this was the view, we were overlooking an old barn instead of the Bras d’Or
