Property beautiful, friendly efficient staff, breakfast included and good dinner options. Elevator broken and very steep stairs with several clientele with canes and walkers. Lovely swimming pool and spa. Short drive to limited shopping and additional dining options.

We stayed at cottage 32 and this was an older cottage, lights over bed didn’t work, old furniture. However, beds were comfortable and we only stayed 1 night.

This is a beautiful property, we booked simply for somewhere to rest our heads, and I desperately wish we planned for more time here. Elegant with some breathtaking views! We may make the 5 hour drive again to plan some extra time to relax. Thank you for the wonderful service!

Best apologetic staff in Canada. Staff was great but the first thing out of their mouth is Sorry! No elevators both they ave been out for months! When we were leaving the part they have been waiting for was arriving! Today 😂😂😂 sure. Dated,miniature toilets, run down Run!

So good we are coming back!

The room was relaxing and clean. The food was extraordinary - highly recommend. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had many options - including an omelette station. Overall, wonderful - and we will stay here again in the future!

The front desk staff were amazing and the common areas were lovely. The rooms and facilities could use some updating. The room was not as clean as I would have preferred. The breakfast was outstanding. The dinner was mixed and the service was extremely slow.

Nice property. Enjoyed the stay. Staff are lovely and breakfast was excellent. Room were nice, but not overly roomy. I really didn’t like that the windows had no shears - I know that seems like a first world problem- however, we were ground floor, and right outside our window was the main road and walking area. So we either were in complete darkness, or everyone looked right in at us. Just a small inconvenience

Disappointing

We don’t often spend over $700 for two night’s accommodation but when we do we’re expecting a great experience. Unfortunately our stay left a lot to be desired. Upon checking in, we could not get our tv to work and when I tried calling the front desk we realized our phone didn’t work either. In the morning we let a very kind and helpful staff member know and they fixed the tv but the phone was never fixed. There was no room service menu in the room or welcome literature of any kind so I looked up the menu online and then had to walk down three flights of stairs to the front desk to place my order because the elevators were out of order and our room phone didn’t work. We ordered two veggie penne pastas that came as linguine in a watery, bland tomato sauce with huge pieces of raw vegetables like broccoli, bok choy and cauliflower and with tip cost $70! We went for a dip in the heated pool which was nice but two other guests also there had been given nice warm robes from an employee and it would have been nice to also have received that treatment. The shower head in our room came to my husband’s chest so he had to stoop to wash his hair and the coffee machine also did not work. Overall, it was disappointing and not good value for money spent.

Charming hotel, beyond beautiful setting and absolutely the best staff. Everyone who works there is exceptional from the front desk to the gardeners, the housekeeping and servers at the restaurant. Can't wait to return.

Faded grandeur

Staff friendly and helpful. Lack of a working elevator was an issue. Bed sheets were old and should be replaced. Room was a good size. The main building looks like it requires a lot of maintenance and is not as grand as it obviously once was.

Love the place but the elevator wasn’t working which was very inconvenient since in order to get to any rooms you have to use stairs and I had the baby and stroller also older people there were having a tough time with the stairs. I think we should have been offered a discount for the inconvenience
